Thank you for checking out our website. As you can see we are still in the process of getting up and running.
STAR Advocacy Center will be the advocacy center to serve Graham and Greenlee counties where there currently has not been an advocacy center.
Once we have a location and are able to start our services agencies will no longer have to transport victims (child and adult) over 2 hours away to get them the help and services they need.
What STAR Advocacy Center will do:
STAR Advocacy Center will be the advocacy center to serve Graham and Greenlee counties where there currently has not been an advocacy center.
Once we have a location and are able to start our services agencies will no longer have to transport victims (child and adult) over 2 hours away to get them the help and services they need.
What STAR Advocacy Center will do:

- Respond to and support officers and deputies on calls involving rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence
- Host victim and child interviews at our center
- Host SANE nurse exams at our center (rape and sexual assault victims exam to collect forensic evidence)
- Provide information on resources to victims and their families
- Advocate for victims
- Host training for agencies
- Train volunteers to become advocates
- Provide training for schools including preventative for younger ages and dating violence signs for older ages.
- Provide life coaching and counseling resources to victims and their families
- Host multidisciplinary meetings to help local agencies communicate and work together on cases
- Provide supervised visitations
- Become a neutral drop off/pick up location for custody exchange
And any other services we can help with in the community!
Currently we are in need of:
- Building location- house or large office space with bathrooms
- Funding- STAR Advocacy Center is a non-profit agency and is solely dependent on donations and grants.
